I enjoy gathering information about the people who are working for peace and security in the world. Too often, the news media focuses our attention on those who do the opposite.
Today, I would like to mention the following:
Economists for Peace and Security
International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War
Hawke Research Institute - Centre for Peace, Conflict and Mediation
My own interest is in peace at the intrapersonal (inner peace), interpersonal (friendship) and neighbourhood levels. Observing the public behaviour of neighbours, whether as the people who live next door to us, or in the next town or suburb, or in the nation next to our own, our ability to distinguish between public behaviour and private activities is important. Do you know why?
